About the artist

Erika Heynatz
Erika Heynatz is a two-time Helpmann Award-nominated performer, actor, singer and creator whose career has never stayed neatly in one lane.
From an international modelling career and becoming the original host of Australia’s Next Top Model, to a recording contract with EMI and an acclaimed career on the musical theatre stage, Erika has spent much of her working life inside the worlds of performance, image and visibility.
Her stage credits include Legally Blonde, The Rocky Horror Show, Singin’ in the Rain and Menopause the Musical, earning two Helpmann Award nominations along the way. Most recently, Erika starred as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family at Sydney’s Hayes Theatre Co, earning widespread critical acclaim. The Sydney Morning Heralddescribed her performance as “so magnetic you’d follow her to her grave,” with critics praising her commanding presence, comic timing and vocals.
On screen, Erika’s work spans film and television including Home and Away, The Family Law and L.A. Noire. Most recently she appears in a supporting role of Shanti in the Hollywood ensemble comedy Spa Weekend, alongside Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Anna Faris and Michelle Buteau.
But STUPORMODEL is where all of those worlds collide.
Written, created and performed by Erika, the show draws on decades spent inside the modelling, entertainment and media machine.
Blending powerhouse live vocals, comedy, storytelling, movement and original material, STUPORMODEL turns that lived experience into something much bigger than autobiography: a funny, provocative examination of beauty, ambition, desirability, ageing and visibility — and who gets to decide our value.
STUPORMODEL marks a new chapter in Erika’s career as a creator of original live work — bringing together the performer, actor, singer and storyteller in something entirely her own.

Stage Door
"The cast by and large is strong but it is Erika Heynatz, whose Morticia is effortlessly commanding, who steals the stage. Heynatz possesses the glamour, wit and dry elegance that define the character, grounding the production with a performance that is both vocally assured and theatrically magnetic."
